Ravens defensive lineman Travis Jones and rookie Nate Wiggins returned to practice Thursday, raising hopes that both starters could play Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.
Jones (ankle) and Wiggins (shoulder) missed Wednesday’s walk-through practice, while wide receiver Zay Flowers (ankle) and cornerback Marlon Humphrey (knee) are still out. Rookie running back Rasheen Ali (ankle) and rookie TJ Tampa (foot) missed both days of practice.
Jones, who played a season-high 25 defensive snaps in Monday’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, appeared limited in practice Thursday. Wiggins, who played a season-high 67 defensive snaps, is nearing full strength.
Flowers and Humphrey’s ability to play in Sunday’s game at Cleveland should be clear after Friday’s practice. Players who miss a full week of practice are usually not activated on game day.
Coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday that he is “hopeful” that Humphrey, who left Monday’s game late in the first half after throwing two interceptions after practice, will play Sunday. “All those guys are guys that have a chance to come back. We’ll have to see how it goes during the week. Ready boys play. If a guy can’t make it, he can’t play. Right now we don’t know who it will be.”
