Police are looking for a connection between two Chittenden County bank robberies

South Burlington Police were called to the East Ascent Credit Union on Shelburne Road just before 5:00 p.m. Tuesday for a reported robbery. Police believe the male suspect entered the branch alone and demanded money, indicating he was armed with an incendiary device. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and then fled the area. Police said he never displayed a weapon or device. Investigators have obtained still images of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him. Investigators are looking into other similar robberies in the area to determine a possible connection. The FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms also assisted South Burlington in the case.
