PhotoFest! Burlington was seeded #1 in the 6-man football playoffs

In 1A 6-man football, defending champion Burlington finished the regular season 6-1 overall with an 81-15 victory over Midwest on Friday. After suffering a huge season-opening loss to Little Snake River, the Huskies swept their opponents. Burlington jumped out to a 30-7 first half lead against Midwest and never looked back.

The Huskies have the No. 2 defense in the 6-man, led by stout Joe Bassett. He is a bruising player on both sides of the line of scrimmage and certainly a difference maker. Jordan Broderlow was their leading passer and rusher, so the offense was functional.

Burlington is the No. 1 seed in the North and will host Farson-Eden in the opening round of the playoffs on Friday at 1 p.m. Midwest finished the season 4-4 and lost the final playoff spot to North as Miteetse won the tiebreaker. Quincy Paris has had quite the year for the Oilers. Entering the Burlington game, he had over 1,000 yards rushing, over 500 yards passing and over 300 yards receiving.

There are some photos from the Burlington-Midwest competition in the gallery below, so check them out. Enjoy!
