“The first day was the busiest first day of early voting, but it seems to be on par with the presidential campaign four years ago,” commented Jeremy Zellner, Democratic Commissioner of the Erie County Board of Elections.
The Board of Elections also increased the number of machines in some major cities, such as Amherst, to process more votes.
“But it’s really important to let people know that they can use any of these 38 sites across the county. So they can drive 20 minutes here and come in and vote right away.” – described Zellner.
Zellner noted that each early voting precinct will print a ballot for “every voter.” Printing the ballot may take up to 40 seconds. Zellner reminded voters that they can mail a quick scan card to the election board. quick registration for registered voters or showing a driver’s license.
“54% of voters who voted on Saturday used some form of quick scan, and I think that really helped us with our speed,” Zellner said.

“How important is this election to you?” I asked.
“It is very important. “It’s important, but I want the best to win,” Lenoci replied.
Some voters have told me that the economy and abortion are hot topics in this presidential election.
“I’m not happy about the economy, I’m worried about my children and grandchildren, what are they going to do?” It’s hard to shop. I just hope the right person wins and we get back on our feet,” replied Adriatico.
