The key Hawk has been cleared to return from injury for this weekend’s clash with Richmond.
Hawthorn Greta Boday has been cleared to return from injury for this weekend’s clash with Richmond, while Christy Stratton and Emily Everist will undergo tests to determine their fitness.
Meanwhile, freshman Hawk Laura Stone is making good progress through rehab and an ankle injury.
High performance manager Aaron Kellett provided further details on each of the injured Hawks.
Greta Boday (finger) – available
“Greta is recovering well from the intervention we did for her finger. He’s gone through a bit of a reload plan, this week is a big part of that, but at this stage he’ll be available for selection this week.”
Christy Stratton (Ankle) – Test
“Really, he’s at the end of his return to action plan, he’s got a few final criteria to be out of training this week and then by the end of the week we’ll try to make a decision on availability and what. It might seem like a weekend.”
Emily Everist (illness) – Test
“Thankfully, Sherpa has recovered and he returned to the club yesterday and resumed training. We made a plan to reboot him after 10 days off due to his health. We’ll see how he progresses this week before making a decision on Richmond’s availability or otherwise at the end of the week.
Laura Stone (Ankle) – TBC
“Stone is fine. I think I mentioned last week that he came out of the moon boot last week, so he’s been carrying his full weight in the last week. Continued loading his calf and continued to work on his range of motion, responded really positively. As I’ve said before, we’re going to continue to go through that process, but Stoney continues to make really good progress.”
